ORCA was founded in 1997 but some of our members have been involved in model car racing since the late 80's when originally the club was racing in what was then the main car park in University College Dublin. The building of the purpose built track in St. Annes Park, Raheny was the idea of the original founder members and from their hard work and the help of the council, this superb facility was created. This Model Race Track is built to international standard. The club along with the council has worked hard over the last few years to improve the track facilities which in early 2005 saw the construction of a permanent rostrum. This has become a major asset to the track. The very successful 2006, 2007 season saw the membership increase once again, giving rise to exciting times ahead for the future seasons. This year promises to be the most exciting season of RC racing yet for 1/8th and 1/10th Model Racing Cars. The Committee would like to wish all our members a Happy and successful season.
