Hi All,
As the committee of the club it is the responsibility of committee to ensure that the clubs public liability insurance is up to date.
Public Liability insurance covers the individual or club against claims made against them for injuries or other damage caused to members of the public i.e. any other racer (who at that moment is not involved in the race), a spectator, or other bystander or property belonging to them.
As a committee we will not be waiting for things to go wrong and then have to deal with them this will leave the committee members and club responsible as the organisers of the event.
When membership are paid up you are automatically covered by the clubs insurance policy for third party liability it should also be noted the mechanics or pit persons with you should also become members of the club at the reduced rates.
Racing should be fun and enjoyed by all, but it will be no fun if someone is hurt and we are dealing with solicitors. Therefore any person wishing to race or pit will not be permitted in behind the fence from now on unless they have paid up there memberships.
Unfortunately we live in a claim cultured society.
Membership can be paid to David Boylan / Ronnie Crampton with completed application forms.
ORCA Committee.
